Internationally recognized pianist, Yali Levy Schwartz has been heard in cities like New York, Boston, Tel Aviv, Tbilisi and in major concert halls across Italy and Germany. Driven by a passion to connect with audience members of all backgrounds, Yali strives to create a shared experience for audiences from the stage, by exposing the meaning of the works she loves - both new and old. She is interested in presenting diverse concert programs, including lesser-known works, in combination with pieces that are prevalent in the repertoire.

As a solo artist, Yali has performed at venues including the Museum of Modern Art, Merkin Hall, Steinway Hall, Jordan Hall and Carnegie’s Weill and Zankel Halls. Solo concerti experience includes performances with Orfeo’s Festival Orchestra, the Park Avenue Chamber Symphony, Merkin Hall’s chamber orchestra, and the Virtuosi Brunenses Orchestra. She was chosen to be featured on the WQXR radio station hosted by Robert Sherman as part of the McGraw Hill Young Artists Showcase.

Yali is a recipient of several competition awards, including first prize at the Kaufman Center International Youth Piano Competition, gold medal twice at the AADGT “Passion of Music” Festival, and first prize in the “Grand Prize Virtuoso” International Music Competition.

She has been a part of numerous international music festivals around Europe and the United States, including Minnesota's Musikfest, Music Fest Perugia, Vivace Music Festival, and Puerto Piano. She looks forward to participating in the IMS Prussia Cove Masterclasses in the Spring of 2025.

An enthusiastic performer of new music, Yali has premiered works by composers Xiaofeng Jiang, Isaac Dubow and Karina Menchin, in concert halls across Boston and New York City. Deeply invested in collaboration and the compositional processes of these composers, Yali is excited by the opportunity to engage with new composers to bring their voices to life.

As a passionate chamber musician, Yali is often seen collaborating in small ensemble settings. Most recently, she performed Bartók’s Sonata for Two Pianos and Percussion in Jordan Hall, as part of NEC’s Chamber Music Gala. In 2020, Yali’s piano trio won the Chamber Music Society’s Young Musicians Competition, and performed at the Rose Studio at Lincoln Center.

Yali is currently pursuing a Bachelors of Music in Piano Performance at the New England Conservatory in Boston, under the tutelage of Professor HaeSun Paik. She began her piano studies with Genya Paley at the Special Music School in New York.
